III. The Concept

Based off Square Enix, this is an alternate universe of their Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts story-line. I say alternate universe in the respect that the basic mechanics of the Kingdom Hearts universe will remain the same, but the characters you're familiar with will have never existed. Instead, your original characters will be writing the history of the war against Darkness!

So, let's get down to the good stuff. Keyblades have been lost. However, this does not mean that your character will not be able to wield a Keyblade at a later point in the story. Stick with it and perhaps your character will be one of the 'chosen'! All worlds function off Final Fantasy mechanics. Magic is a common thing and works the same in all worlds. All Final Fantasy races are available to be played as well as custom races that will be explained in the next paragraph.

Characters will be from one of two sets of world. They will either come from a Final Fantasy world which will be considered a part of the 'Dark Worlds' or a 'Dream World' which will be considered a 'Light World'. The Dream Worlds will be replacing Disney Worlds and references to add to the separation between this universe and the FF/KH universe as we know it. The Dream Worlds embody what lays within a child's heart, so most of the characters who come from these will typically be of good nature and represent a child's dreams in some aspect. If you choose to create a character from one of the Dream Worlds, be prepared to go into depth describing the Dream World and all its little quirks. An example of canon worlds that might be a 'Dream World' would be Destiny Island, Neverland, or Wonderland. These are simply examples, be as creative as you like!

There are another set of canon positions that cannot be applied for called 'the chosen'. The Chosen will, as the name implies, be chosen by administration for a character to become a canon role. The role will entitle them to privileges as well as come with conditions such the dreaded activity check.  Just like the Keyblade, if one doesn't check-in the position will be transferred from that character to another and continue moving down the list. For now, These positions include:  XIII Darkness' and VII Lights. These Canon positions may be revealed to you in character, or they could be revealed through a PM, or maybe not revealed to you at all. Each character is important!  Though you may not fully understand how important your character is initially, it is our job to ensure that each person has the chance to influence the story and have fun on an active, friendly site regardless of age or writing ability!
