IX. Keyblades
The Keyblade. An object manufactured for the sole purpose of unlocking the door to Kingdom Hearts. Not much is known of Keyblades other than they are not unlike photons, they are energy manafest into physical form. While not initially intended for battle, the keyblades have been found to prove quite useful as weapons of unimaginable power not only over the battlefield, but over the hearts of those waging the battles. It is said that these keys can lock or unlock any keyhole and can determine the fate of the universe. Keyblades, however, are fickle things. They are drawn to hearts with strong desires and convictions and shun those who falter on their path. In a moment's weakness, the keyblade can leave one just as quickly as chooses one to wield it. One does not ask for a keyblade or simply desire for one to appear to acquire it. If you remain active the more likely it will be that you will be chosen. Once you have been chosen, a staff member will send you a PM stating that you've been chosen and you will then be sent to your own station where you will awaken as a Keyblade Wielder. During the time of the Awakening Thread, you cannot summon your keyblade outside of the awakening-- only afterward are you allowed to incorperate your Awakening into your RPs and summon your Keyblade.
Each Keyblade is unique and will be molded to fit your character-- you may choose its appearance, but its name and unique powers will be determined by staff. All keyblades share these properties:Keyblades can be summoned and dismissed at will.
Keyblades cannot be stolen and answer only to the heart it's connected to.
Keyblades are able to lock or unlock any keyhole, this includes the paths between the worlds and the hearts of each respective world.
Ultimately, if you want a keyblade and don't have one, just keep at it! While not everyone gets a keyblade, this doesn't mean we don't have our eye on you!
